Rusia vrea să trimită centrale nucleare plutitoare în Africa. Patru țări sunt interesate

Russia's Rosatom is in advanced talks to supply floating nuclear power plants to several African countries. The initiative aims to address energy needs and enhance nuclear capabilities in the region. Currently, only one floating nuclear plant operates globally, located in Russia. Rosatom plans to implement projects under Power Purchase Agreements, ensuring maintenance and fuel supply from Russia. Discussions are ongoing with Egypt, Togo, Namibia, and Tanzania for potential projects. The floating units are designed for warm climates and have a capacity of 100 megawatts. Rosatom has also secured an agreement with Indonesia for the first global delivery of electricity from floating nuclear units.
