Rusia spune că e deschisă negocierilor de pace, dar nu vede necesară încetarea focului. „Lupte şi diplomaţie. În paralel şi simultan”
Russia is open to resuming peace talks regarding Ukraine but does not see a need for a ceasefire during these discussions, according to Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. He emphasized that fighting and diplomacy can occur simultaneously, reflecting on past experiences where Russia felt deceived after withdrawing troops near Kyiv in 2022. Lavrov claimed that a peace agreement was nearly reached but was ultimately rejected by Ukraine under pressure from the U.S. and the UK. Meanwhile, President Zelensky mentioned potential meetings among Russian, Ukrainian, and American negotiators, although Russia considers it too early for concrete discussions. Putin reiterated that military objectives will continue during peace negotiations, asserting that the situation on the ground is favorable for Russia.
