Russia's economy ministry has revised down its natural gas production and export forecasts for this year, anticipating lower output due to Europe's plans to end Russian gas purchases. The updated estimates indicate a production of 683.1 billion cubic meters, slightly below previous projections. Additionally, liquefied natural gas exports are expected to rise to 35 million tons, but still lower than earlier forecasts. The decline in exports is attributed to the ongoing war in Ukraine and deteriorating relations with the West, with last year's exports to Europe dropping significantly.
