Russia reported significant cyberattacks targeting its electronic voting system and internet lines during parliamentary elections. These elections are the first since the Ukraine invasion in 2022, aiming to renew all 450 seats in the State Duma. The Central Election Commission noted a continuous cyber assault on the voting system, but claimed the situation was under control. Additionally, attempts to sabotage internet lines in the Far East were reported, although communications were restored. Voter turnout was notably higher than in previous elections, with many opting for online voting, including President Putin.
