Russia has responded to the recent drone incident near Neptun Deep, claiming NATO's support for Ukraine endangers its member states. Maria Zakharova stated that the drone, destroyed by a Romanian F-16, was of Ukrainian origin. She emphasized that such dangerous objects from Ukraine pose risks to Romania and accused NATO of contributing to these threats. The Romanian authorities confirmed the drone was armed and located 80 miles east of Constanța. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, warned of increasing threats to member states and called for enhanced European response capabilities, framing the incident as part of a broader hybrid warfare strategy.
