Rusia neagă că ar fi impus măsuri de combatere a ciumei. De ce ar fi murit femeia și care este pericolul real?

Russian authorities have denied implementing plague control measures following the reported death of a lab technician from pneumonic plague. The technician, Darya Shipilova, allegedly contracted the disease from a broken test tube. However, officials stated that post-mortem tests did not confirm the disease, and the cause of death was undetermined pneumonia. The regional governor noted that no new cases had been reported among lab staff. The World Health Organization assessed the risk of widespread transmission as low, emphasizing that pneumonic plague is treatable with antibiotics and does not spread easily. Authorities have quarantined up to 200 individuals who may have been in contact with the technician.
