Rusia lansează primele rețele 5G în 16 orașe mari

Russian mobile operators have launched the first 5G networks in the country, providing high-speed internet access to 10 million people. The rollout covers 16 major cities, including Moscow and St. Petersburg, and aims to expand to 50 more cities by 2026. However, iPhone users will not be able to connect to these networks due to frequency compatibility issues. The implementation faced challenges due to military control over certain frequency bands and the withdrawal of major telecom equipment providers.
