Russian companies are adapting Baltic and Arctic terminals to export grains due to disruptions in Black Sea deliveries caused by Ukrainian drone attacks. Major exporters like Russia and Ukraine have seen significant reductions in grain exports. The Ultramar terminal in Ust-Luga has been modified to handle grain shipments, with increasing transport requests for deliveries to Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Other terminals in St. Petersburg are also starting to manage grain. Analysts suggest that these adaptations could significantly boost the grain export capacity of Russian Baltic ports, which currently handle much less than southern ports. Murmansk is preparing to begin grain exports soon, with initial shipments already planned.
