Rusia a raportat atacuri cibernetice asupra sistemului de vot electronic

Russia reported cyberattacks on its electronic voting system and sabotage attempts on communication lines during parliamentary elections. Authorities claimed the infrastructure remained secure despite these disruptions. The elections for the State Duma, the first since the Ukraine war began, are expected to favor Vladimir Putin's United Russia party. Most anti-war candidates were excluded from ballots following a Supreme Court ruling. The online voting system faced significant attacks, but officials stated they were successfully repelled. Over 111 million people are eligible to vote, with a reported turnout of 32.58% on the second day. Putin and other officials voted online, while spokesperson Maria Zakharova opted for in-person voting.
