Roxana Mînzatu propune o Zi europeană în memoria victimelor accidentelor de muncă, marcată anual pe 8 august
The European Commission has proposed establishing an annual European Day in memory of workplace accident victims, to be observed on August 8. This initiative coincides with the 70th anniversary of the Marcinelle tragedy, where 262 miners lost their lives. Roxana Mînzatu emphasized the importance of workplace safety and the EU's commitment to preventing such accidents. The day aims to honor all victims and reaffirm the EU's dedication to eliminating workplace fatalities. Each year, over 3,000 workers die in workplace accidents in the EU, highlighting the ongoing need for safe working conditions.
