Rompetrol reduce consumul de energie la Petromidia

KMG International has initiated an energy consumption optimization program at its Petromidia and Vega refineries due to pressure on the National Energy System. The measures aim to reduce consumption by approximately 5 MW during peak periods. Adjustments include rescheduling operations and optimizing auxiliary consumption without affecting technological processes. The company also plans to temporarily halt its Low-Density Polyethylene plant to further decrease energy use. Rompetrol emphasizes maintaining high production levels to ensure fuel availability in the domestic market amid an energy alert in Romania.
