Rompetrol intensifică măsurile de optimizare energetică. „Prioritatea Grupului KMGI rămâne menţinerea rafinăriilor Petromidia şi Vega în parametri optimi de operare”
KMG International has launched an energy consumption optimization program at its Petromidia and Vega refineries due to the current energy crisis in Romania. The measures, initiated on August 5, aim to reduce peak consumption without disrupting operations. This includes optimizing operational schedules and adjusting auxiliary consumption. Romania is under energy alert since August 1 after the shutdown of a nuclear reactor, which significantly impacted energy production. The implemented measures are expected to lower electrical load by about 5 MW during peak times. Additionally, a planned shutdown of the LDPE facility will further reduce energy consumption by approximately 8 MW. KMG International is also optimizing electric vehicle charging stations and encourages off-peak charging. The company prioritizes maintaining high production levels at its refineries to ensure fuel availability.
