Rombat, lovită de piața auto europeană dificilă, pierde din venituri în S1. Compania a plătit prima tranșă din amenda UE, de 20 mil. euro - Economica.net

Rombat, a Romanian battery manufacturer, reported a 21% decline in revenue for the first half of 2026, totaling 955 million South African rand. Despite this drop, the company's EBIT margin improved from 4.4% to 5.4%. The decline is attributed to challenging market conditions in Europe, compounded by a significant fine from the European Commission. Rombat has contested the fine, which amounts to 20.2 million euros, but has continued to make payments. The company also reported a decrease in average employees and a slight increase in sales volumes in 2025, with over 60% of production exported.
