A recent survey reveals that while digital payments are on the rise in Romania, cash remains prevalent, with a quarter of citizens exclusively using it in stores. Over half of respondents regularly use Internet or Mobile Banking, and nearly half pay with their phones. However, 39% still use a mix of cash and cards. The survey also highlights that 67% track their personal finances monthly, and traditional savings methods like bank deposits are preferred by many. The study was conducted by FinZoom for CEC Bank, involving around 1,200 respondents.
