Românii se întorc în țară: Ce arată datele oficiale
Romanians are returning home in greater numbers than those leaving, according to Cosmin Boiangiu, but long-term trends remain uncertain. In 2023, around 218,000 Romanians returned, surpassing the 151,000 who left. However, definitive migration statistics show a more complex picture, with permanent returns declining since 2022. The data indicates that while there is a temporary increase in returns, it may not signify a lasting trend. Additionally, interest in working abroad has decreased significantly, with fewer job applications for foreign positions. Romania is also attracting more foreign workers to address labor shortages.
