Românii petrec 53 de minute pe drumul dintre casă și locul de muncă, deși distanța medie este de 17 km

A study reveals that Romanians have the shortest daily commuting distance in Europe, averaging 17 kilometers, yet spend about 53 minutes traveling. Despite this, Romania ranks sixth in terms of commuting duration. The research indicates a mobility issue rather than a distance problem, as many employees exceed their preferred commuting time. In Bucharest-Ilfov, the average commute is 73 minutes for just 16 kilometers. While a significant portion of respondents express a desire to work from home, many also appreciate the available commuting options. The study highlights a contradiction between commuting time and distance, particularly in urban areas.
