The National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) is revising its procedures regarding joint liability for tax debts, emphasizing case-by-case analysis. The new rules require a thorough examination of each situation, including hearings for the individuals involved. This change aims to prevent automatic liability based solely on a person's relationship with the debtor. The updated procedure, which replaces a 2014 framework, aligns with the current legal framework established by Law no. 207/2015. ANAF stresses that joint liability can only be established after careful consideration of the facts and legal conditions.
