Romanians are increasingly consuming fresh meat, with a 20% rise over the past decade. Chicken remains the favorite, but pork is gaining popularity. Currently, the average monthly consumption of fresh meat exceeds 4 kilograms, up from 3.3 kilograms ten years ago. Chicken consumption has increased by 11.3%, while pork has seen a significant rise of nearly 38%. In contrast, beef consumption remains low at about 300 grams per person monthly.
