While foreign tourist numbers increased, they couldn't offset the decline from local visitors. The reduction in vacation vouchers contributed to this trend, as domestic tourists are crucial for agrotourism. Operators are now focusing on enhancing offerings, such as local cuisine and nature activities, to attract more visitors. Popular destinations include Bucovina, Maramureș, and Bran-Moieciu, with a growing interest in local gastronomic experiences.
