Românii din Toscana au cumpărat în Lucca o biserică veche de cel puțin 600 de ani, monument istoric protejat în Italia

The Romanian Orthodox community in Lucca, Tuscany, has signed a contract to purchase a historic church dating back to the 12th-15th centuries. This church is significant as it was the site of the enthronement of the first Romanian Orthodox bishop in Italy. The acquisition is supported by a non-repayable grant from the Romanian government, ensuring the preservation of the community's spiritual identity. The church will continue to host social programs and Romanian language classes.
