Românii dau din puțin mai mult decât alții: România, lider în UE la donații
Romanians are not the most numerous donors in Europe, but they contribute a higher percentage of their income compared to others in the EU. A recent report shows Romania ranks first in the EU for total donations as a percentage of income, averaging 0.9%. However, only 27% of Romanians donated to charities specifically. The report highlights a connection between generosity and community belonging, with countries showing strong community ties donating significantly more. Globally, Nigeria leads in donations as a percentage of income, while Japan has the lowest. Many non-donors cite financial constraints as the main reason for not contributing.
