Românii cumpără mai rar și așteaptă reducerile. Cum s-a schimbat coșul de consum în 2026
Romanians are increasingly limiting their purchases, focusing on essential items and waiting for discounts. Retail sales volume dropped by 5.7% in the first seven months of 2026 compared to the previous year, with non-food products seeing the largest decline. A recent study shows that over half of respondents plan to cut spending on technology and appliances, while many are also reducing expenses on clothing and hobbies. Consumers are more cautious, with nearly 60% intending to forgo non-essential items and 40% planning to shop less frequently but more strategically. Despite a slight monthly increase in July, the overall trend indicates a significant shift in consumer behavior towards prioritizing essential goods and being more price-conscious.
