Românii cu credite în ROBOR ar putea primi bani înapoi de la bănci. Legea a trecut de Senat

The Senate has approved a law to recalculate consumer loans linked to the ROBOR index if competition law violations are confirmed. This applies to ongoing and some past contracts, requiring banks to adjust obligations based on the IRCC index and compensate affected consumers. Consumers can request contract reviews within 45 days of damage confirmation, and banks must respond within set timeframes. Non-compliance by banks can lead to fines ranging from 10,000 to 100,000 lei, enforced by the National Authority for Consumer Protection. The law aims to address unfair practices in loan agreements.
