Românii au plătit direct din buzunar, într-un an, peste 33.600.000.000 de lei pentru sănătate
In 2025, Romanians spent over 33.6 billion lei out of pocket for healthcare, highlighting the significant financial burden on patients. Nearly 28% of health system funding comes from private sources, making direct payments the second largest funding source after health insurance contributions. The report indicates that more than 50% of the population now pays health insurance contributions, which have increased in their share of total health funding. Despite a slight decrease in state subsidies, the reliance on direct payments remains high, with a notable rise in private health insurance and subscription services. The number of uninsured individuals has also increased, raising concerns about access to healthcare for vulnerable populations.
