The data from the National Institute of Statistics shows a 9% increase in accommodations compared to August 2025, with Romanians making up about 85% of the total. The average stay was 2.6 days for locals and around two days for foreign tourists, contributing to a 10.2% rise in total overnight stays. The occupancy rate reached 45.2%, reflecting a turnaround in the tourism sector after a slow start to the year. Constanța emerged as a leading destination due to the summer season, while foreign tourists mainly came from Germany, Italy, and the USA.
