Despite rising revenues, net profit for companies decreased significantly, highlighting ongoing financial pressures. The hospitality sector employed nearly 195,000 people, with a notable increase in jobs. However, the gap between domestic tourism spending and foreign tourist spending in Romania widened, with Romanians spending 9.5 billion EUR abroad. The industry generated around 2.42 billion EUR in taxes, indicating a substantial fiscal contribution despite challenges.
