The stock of two injectable seasonal flu vaccines has significantly decreased, but over 600,000 additional doses will be distributed in Romania by the end of October. Four vaccines are authorized for the 2026-2027 season, with sufficient stocks of the intranasal Fluenz and Efluelda vaccines. However, Vaxigrip and Influvac vaccines have limited availability, with only about 45,000 doses remaining in pharmacies. The second batch of vaccines will start delivery next week, with over 350,000 doses of one injectable vaccine followed by 250,000 doses of another. Romania has received a larger allocation than last season, ensuring vaccination for all interested individuals.
