Românii au cheltuit aproape 4,9 miliarde de euro în străinătate în primele șase luni. Deficitul extern din turism a ajuns la 2,5 miliarde de euro
In the first half of 2026, Romanians spent €4.884 billion abroad, marking a significant increase compared to 2025. Meanwhile, foreign tourists spent €2.399 billion in Romania, resulting in a tourism deficit of €2.485 billion. This deficit reflects a growing trend, with Romanians spending nearly twice as much abroad as foreign visitors do in Romania. Despite the tourism deficit, Romania maintains a surplus in its overall services balance, largely due to transport and IT services. The data indicates a continued outflow of currency through residents' travels abroad.
