This legislation mandates public institutions to implement a digital notification system, with fines for non-compliance. The initiative aims to simplify interactions with public authorities and prevent delays in document renewals. Citizens can choose to receive notifications for various limited-validity documents and can opt out at any time. The Digitalization Authority will create a platform for these notifications, which must be implemented by the end of 2027. However, citizens remain responsible for timely renewals, regardless of receiving notifications.
