Romania's interim Foreign Minister, Oana Țoiu, outlined the country's objectives during the UN General Assembly, aiming to enhance its role as a regional resilience pillar. Key goals included promoting international law, sustainable development, and peace efforts. Romania engaged in over 20 bilateral meetings to strengthen external partnerships and economic security. The country emphasized its role in the International Organization of La Francophonie and aimed to improve trade relations with African nations. Additionally, Romania focused on Black Sea security and supported a temporary halt to attacks to protect grain transport. The delegation also advocated for a two-state solution in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and expressed concern for humanitarian issues in Gaza.
