România vrea infrastructură modernă, dar trenurile de marfă merg cu sub 15 km/h. „Sectorul feroviar încă suferă”

Romania is undergoing significant infrastructure transformation, with major projects in roads, railways, and airports aimed at enhancing mobility and economic development. The "Driving the Future Forward" conference gathered leaders from various sectors to discuss investments and financing for better regional connectivity. Florin Spătaru from the Romanian Railway Group emphasized the need for substantial investments to improve mobility standards, particularly in the railway sector, which still faces many unstarted projects. He highlighted the potential of rail transport as an alternative, especially given current challenges like low water levels in the Danube and rising fuel prices. The conference also addressed urban transport development and the need for a coherent strategy and long-term commitment from authorities to adopt modern solutions.
