Romania finished Group D of the Men's European Volleyball Championship with a victory over Olympic champions France, securing a spot in the knockout stage against Ukraine. Despite losing the first two sets, Romania rallied to win 3-2, marking a significant achievement. The team ended the group stage in third place with three wins and two losses. France, however, topped the group and will face Portugal in the next round. The tournament is co-hosted by Romania, Bulgaria, Finland, and Italy.
