România va primi 1,1 milioane de doze de vaccin pentru oi și capre. Când vor fi livrate și ce boli vizează
Romania is set to receive 1.1 million vaccine doses for sheep and goats to combat sheep and goat pox and peste des petits ruminants. The shipment is scheduled for October 24, 2026, following the activation of EU vaccine banks. Of the total doses, 800,000 are for sheep and goat pox and 300,000 for peste des petits ruminants. These vaccines are part of an emergency vaccination campaign, not covering the entire vaccination needs. Romania requested these vaccines from the European Commission on September 21, 2026, and provided vaccination plans shortly after. The vaccines aim to control diseases that have previously affected livestock in Romania, with peste des petits ruminants reported in 2024 and sheep and goat pox in 2025. Authorities are implementing surveillance and biosecurity measures alongside vaccination efforts.
