The current flow is significantly below normal, impacting energy production at the Cernavodă nuclear plant. If conditions worsen, Romania may lose up to 20% of its electricity production, necessitating increased imports. Bolojan emphasized the importance of international electricity interconnections and ongoing talks with Ukraine for emergency assistance.
