România va importa energie la preţuri uriaşe. Reactor închis la Cernavodă şi o lună august secetoasă

Due to extreme heat and drought, one reactor at Cernavodă has been shut down, forcing Romania to import energy at high prices. This is only the second time in history that a reactor has been closed for this reason. The shutdown results in a loss of 700 MW, increasing pressure on the energy system, which already imports nearly half of its electricity. Experts warn that without energy storage solutions, the situation could worsen, leading to higher bills for consumers. Future projections indicate a significant drop in hydro and wind energy production, raising concerns about energy supply during peak consumption times.
