România va avea o OMD Națională pentru promovarea turistică. Ce spune ministrul Econmiei - Economica.net
The interim Minister of Economy, Irineu Darău, announced the establishment of a National Destination Management Organization (DMO) to enhance Romania's tourism promotion. Currently, there are 46 local DMOs, but a national body is needed for coordinated efforts. The annual tourism promotion budget is around 4.5 million euros, with local funding often unpredictable. Darău emphasized the necessity for a unified strategy involving industry stakeholders, including hoteliers and local authorities. The document outlines three organizational models and four funding options, potentially creating a dedicated tourism promotion fund. Learning from successful European models, the goal is to develop a sustainable, long-term vision for Romanian tourism.
