Romania experienced one of the highest fuel price increases in the EU in June, with a 23.1% rise compared to the previous year. Eurostat data shows that the average annual increase in the EU was 13.7%. While all member states reported price increases, the pace slowed compared to May. Bulgaria had the highest increase at 26%, followed by Lithuania at 23.5%. Diesel prices fell by an average of 6.4% across the EU in June, with the largest drop in the Czech Republic at 11.3%. Only Cyprus and Italy saw gasoline price increases in June.
