They will travel through several cities before reaching Nea Makri, near Athens. The firefighters are equipped with specialized vehicles and equipment for effective firefighting. This mission is part of a European program aimed at pre-positioning resources in fire-prone areas, ensuring rapid response capabilities. Romania has been involved in this initiative since 2022, responding to requests from Greek authorities.
