România, țara cu cei mai mulți proprietari de locuințe din UE, are și cea mai mare creștere a chiriilor. Date Eurostat

Romania has seen the highest rent increase in the EU, with a 41.2% rise in Q2 2026 compared to 2025. The country also has the highest homeownership rate in the EU at around 94%. Overall, EU rents increased by 3% and home prices by 4.7% in the same period. Bulgaria, Portugal, and Lithuania experienced significant home price increases, while Finland and France saw declines. The strong rent growth in Romania is notable given its high homeownership rate, with only 6% of the population renting. Despite rising home prices by 69% from 2014 to 2025, the increase has been slower than income growth, affecting housing access.
