President Nicușor Dan announced the expansion of the Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) program, allowing up to 70 Romanian students to study in the U.S. during the 2027-2028 school year. This initiative strengthens educational ties between Romania and the U.S., with 20 American students also able to study in Romania. The program emphasizes not only academic growth but also community involvement through volunteer activities after returning home. FLEX scholarships are co-funded by Romania's Ministry of Education and the U.S. Department of State, with applications now open for interested students.
