Romania and the USA are expanding educational exchanges for high school students for the 2027-2028 school year. A new agreement increases the number of available FLEX scholarships, allowing up to 70 Romanian students to study in the US. Interested students must meet specific criteria to apply. The agreement was signed by Romanian Education Minister Mihai Dimian and Lisa Choate from American Councils. The program aims to strengthen ties between the two countries through education. Applications are open until October 22, 2026, and candidates must be Romanian high school students born between July 15, 2009, and July 15, 2012. The scholarship covers various expenses, while some costs remain the responsibility of the participants. Romania has been part of the FLEX program since 2015, with significant interest from students.
