România și Serbia accelerează legăturile de transport
Romania and Serbia aim to enhance infrastructure projects linking Timișoara and Belgrade, focusing on a high-speed road connection and resuming train services. Discussions in Timișoara involved transport officials from both countries, highlighting the importance of advancing the Timișoara–Moravița project and ratifying a 2022 intergovernmental agreement. The revival of passenger trains is contingent on resolving technical issues. Additionally, the two nations are considering a new bilateral agreement for the Bega Canal to boost commercial navigation. Officials also addressed maintaining navigability on the Danube amid low water levels, emphasizing the need to accelerate these initiatives for economic benefits.
