România și Bulgaria vor un comandament militar NATO comun, pentru securitatea Mării Negre • Newsweek România
Romania and Bulgaria are advocating for a joint NATO military command to enhance security in the Black Sea region. Interim Defense Minister Radu Miruță emphasized the urgency of this initiative due to recent incidents involving drones and naval mines. He proposed a joint letter to NATO leadership to support the establishment of this command, which would rotate among the Black Sea states. Romania is prepared to lead and host the command by 2028, while accepting temporary operations on the Turkish coast. Miruță highlighted the need for collective action in response to security threats posed by Russia's actions in Ukraine.
