Romania and Bulgaria will jointly host a new European maritime security hub in Constanta and Varna, enhancing the protection of navigation routes in the Black Sea. The initiative aims to strengthen European security and energy flow protection in the region. Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Toiu highlighted the development of military capabilities, including maritime drones and vessels with anti-missile capabilities. The hub will facilitate better coordination with European institutions and NATO, as well as with other Black Sea countries, excluding Russia. Toiu emphasized the importance of learning from the Baltic states' experiences in maritime security coordination.
