România și Bulgaria vor găzdui hub-ul european pentru securitate maritimă la Constanța și Varna. Marea Neagă, „calea maritimă a viitorului”

Romania, alongside Bulgaria, will host a European maritime security hub, as announced by Foreign Minister Oana Țoiu. She emphasized the need for military capacity development to enhance European security and protect energy flows in the Black Sea region. Romania is producing maritime drones and vessels with anti-missile capabilities through a Romanian-American production line. The cooperation with Bulgaria and Turkey in naval demining will be expanded to protect critical infrastructure. The hub will be located in Constanța and Varna, facilitating better coordination with European institutions and NATO. Investments in dual-use infrastructure are also prioritized, particularly for the Constanța port, to improve surveillance and protection capabilities amid rising regional risks due to the war in Ukraine.
