România și alte șase state cer ajutorul Bruxelles-ului pentru turism. „Umbra” războiului din Ucraina ține vizitatorii și investițiile departe

Romania, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Slovakia are urging the European Commission for special measures to support tourism in Eastern Europe, affected by the Ukraine war. They highlight economic and image costs that Western countries do not face. The request includes targeted actions to improve connectivity and restore confidence among tourists and investors. Despite a record rise in European tourism, Romania saw a decline in overnight stays in 2025. The countries seek support for small and medium enterprises in tourism, emphasizing the need for a dedicated strategy in the upcoming EU Sustainable Tourism Strategy.
