Romania is proposing a joint investment fund with the U.S. for strategic projects in energy, digital infrastructure, and critical minerals. Discussions are ongoing with the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) to structure the fund and identify potential projects for funding. The initiative aims to combine resources from the Romanian Investment and Development Bank, American private capital, and other financing sources. Minister Alexandru Nazare highlighted the progress in talks, moving from preliminary discussions to project identification, with a focus on nuclear energy, natural gas, and technology.
