România produce energie ieftină, dar consumatorii plătesc scump. Explicația unui expert
Romania has the potential to produce electricity at low costs due to its diverse energy sources, yet consumers face high prices. The pricing mechanism on the wholesale market allows more expensive energy sources to set the price for all electricity sold, regardless of the lower production costs of other sources. This system, established during the energy sector restructuring in the early 2000s, has fragmented production and reduced the efficiency of resource management. As a result, while producers benefit from low-cost energy, consumers end up paying higher prices. Solutions such as long-term contracts and investments in energy storage could help stabilize prices and improve the situation for consumers.
