The tournament took place in London from August 24-26, featuring 28 men's teams and 16 women's teams. Romania's men's team included seven players, with Cristian Cozoș and Radu Ciortan among the top performers. After advancing from Group C, Romania faced Sweden in the round of 16, winning 3-2. However, they lost to Japan in the quarter-finals, despite Radu Ciortan's victory over top player Masayuki Mochizuki. The final is currently between Belgium and the Netherlands, while Romania competes for 5th-8th place against Austria.
