România, prima medalie la CE de tenis de masă

Romania's table tennis team secured its first medal at the European Championship in Slovenia, with Bernadette Szocs and Eduard Ionescu reaching the mixed doubles semifinals. Their victory guarantees at least a bronze medal. They defeated the French pair Thibault Poret and Prithika Pavade in a close match that ended 3-2. Szocs and Ionescu will face the German duo Benedikt Duda and Nina Mittelham in the semifinals, scheduled for October 15.
